Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition: On or about 23 November 2016, the employer allowed the Combi-Lift powered industrial trucks to remain in service with safety screens missing from the rear of the cabs. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while traveling or being passed by other vehicles. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
