29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s): (a) Dinklage Feed Yard Inc, at 13946 Morgan County Road 21, Fort Morgan, CO: On and preceding 1/22/16, the employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work areas. Employees performed duties related to the care and feeding of cattle. The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical in their work area, including but not limited to the following: 1. APTechgroup Inc BC4A (containing 5-15% sodium hydroxide); and 2. APTechgroup Inc OLC-C (containing 0.5% acrylic acid-polycarboxylate). (b) Dinklage Feed Yard Inc, at 13946 Morgan County Road 21, Fort Morgan, CO: On and preceding 1/22/16, the employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work areas. Employees performed duties related to the care and feeding of cattle. The employer kept safety data sheets in the main office. Employees used chemicals in work areas, such as the mill, which were located several hundred yards across the feed yard from the office. The employer did not ensure that the safety data sheets were readily accessible to employees in their work areas. This condition exposed employees to a chemical hazard.
