29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or top step of a stepladder was used as a step: a- 207 Pearl Street, Lakewood NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 9 feet to the floor surface below when accessing/egressing the top plates of the structure's interior frames using the top two steps of an A-framed ladder. Condition observed on or about 06/11/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
