Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(a)(6): Scaffolds shall be designed by a qualified person and shall be constructed and loaded in accordance with that design. Non-mandatory Appendix A to this subpart contains examples of criteria that will enable an employer to comply with paragraph (a) of this section: On or about October 01, 2014, employee was exposed to fall hazards of greater than 10 feet in height to the ground level below when working from a scaffold which was not designed and/or constructed by a qualified person when the pole scaffold was constructed using 2X6's nailed to the wall, 2X4's 20 feet in length used for pole legs and no cross bracing, while installing the thermal paper on the front of the residential home.
