29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and material safety data sheets. (a)Herod Industries Inc. at Bulldog 5 near Craig, CO 81626: The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area. Vacuum truck operators were not made aware that waste products from petroleum operations may contain flammable or combustible liquids and gases or other hazardous materials which may cause serious injury, illness or death. This condition exposed employees to explosion and fire hazards of flammable or combustible liquids and gases.
