29 CFR 1910.119(d)(3)(i)(D): Process safety information pertaining to the equipm ent in the process did not include the relief system design and design basis: Th is violation was observed on or about 1/19/2010, where the employer did not main tain information pertaining to the design and design basis of the relief system and devices for the process equipment, such as the High Pressure (HP) & Low Pres sure (LP) Test Separator, #1 & #2 Oil Heater/Treater, Line Heater, Vent Scrubber , etc., on the EC2 platform. By not obtaining or developing this information, em ployees and contract employees involved in the process did not have the necessar y and required information to identify and understand the potential hazards of the process. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19(d), within 10 calendar days of the da te of the citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps it is taking to en sure that the information concerning the design of the relief systems for all pr ocess equipment on the platform is fully researched and documented.
