29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) 156 West Harrisburg Avenue, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 - Inside Machinery Room: On or about January 14, 2025, employees did not have an accessible eyewash and body shower unit located inside the machinery room, where anhydrous ammonia was used, which had a path of travel no more than 55 feet. b) 156 West Harrisburg Avenue, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 - Outside of Machinery Room: On or about January 14, 2025, employees did not have an accessible eyewash and body shower unit located outside of the machinery room, where anhydrous ammonia was used, and within 55 feet from the outside of the machinery room door. c) 156 West Harrisburg Avenue, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 - Production Room: On or about January 14, 2025, employees were exposed to hazardous corrosive cleaning chemicals which had the potential to cause severe eye and skin damage, including, but not limited to, Citrus Chisel, and suitable facilities for the quick drenching or flushing of the eyes was not provided. Two 16 fluid ounce emergency eyewash bottles were present but would not have been capable of delivering a minimum of 1.5 liters per minute (0.4 gallons per minute) of water, as described in ANSI Z358.1. Frozen Food Development, Inc. and its successors were previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1736998, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 24, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 156 West Harrisburg Avenue, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Frozen Food Development, Inc. and its successors were previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1558606, citation number 1, item number 7, and was affirmed as a final order on June 1, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 156 West Harrisburg Avenue, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
