Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(g)(3): Personal fall arrest systems used on scaffolds were not attached by lanyard to a vertical lifeline, horizontal lifeline, or scaffold structural member: (a) Quarryville Water Tank - Employees worked about two bucks down from the top of the over 100-foot high fabricated frame scaffolding erected around the exterior of the cylindrical shaped water tank to install sheeting around the scaffold's outer perimeter. The employees wore personal fall arrest equipment, including harnesses and double lanyards, but did not tie off, on or about November 13, 2024. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
