29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed. On or about September 18, 2024, by a restaurant drive-through lane, employees were allowed to use an A-framed portable ladder, in the closed position leaned against the unprotected wall of an excavation, as a means of access and egress from the excavation.
