29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13):The top or top step of a stepladder was used as a step: At jobsite located at 18224 Depot Street, Overland Park Kansas, employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 6-9 feet from the top ladder, or the upper landing level of the residence to the ground below while accessing and exiting the trusses in that the top of the portable A-frame ladders were used as a step to access the trusses. The orange ladder was set up improperly by leaning against the trusses. The Marco Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1589008, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on 06-29-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2509 177th St. Stilwell, KS 66085.
