29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about July 23, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from a Fanuc Robot R-2000iC/210F, Serial No. F219901, located on the 5-gallon Production Line in that the physical barrier located on the 5-gallon Production Line was deficient in that employees could easily defeat the barrier guard by stepping around the fencing. This condition exposed employees to struck-by and crushing hazards.
