29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: (a) On or about May 30, 2024, at the job site located at N85W15666 Menomonee River Parkway, Menomonee Falls WI 53051, employees were accessing/egressing existing residential roof from a ladder which did not extend three feet above the upper landing surface. This exposed employees to a fall hazard. MBE Roofing Specialist LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1633682, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on 04/07/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 309-315, 317-323 S. Brookfield Road, Brookfield, WI 53045.
