29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(ii):A powered industrial truck was left unattended when the operator is 25 ft. or more away from the vehicle which remains in view, or whenever the operator leaves the vehicle and it is not in view. a). On or about May 28, 2024, and times prior, the employer failed to ensure employees did not leave forklifts unattended while performing work activities. CSHO Observed multiple forklifts and order pickers running and unattended while performing a walk around of the facility.
