29 CFR 1926.602(c)(1)(vi): Industrial truck(s) in use did not meet the applicable requirements of design, construction, stability, inspection, testing, maintenance, and operation, as defined in American National Standards Institute B56.1-1969, Safety Standards for Powered Industrial Trucks. a) Worksite was located at 102 2nd Avenue, Belmar, NJ 07719: The JLG SkyTrak 8042 Telehandler being used to perform work on site had its right front tire worn beyond limits with visible threads showing. Violation was observed on or about May 2, 2024. b) Worksite was located at 102 2nd Avenue, Belmar, NJ 07719: The JLG SkyTrak 8042 Telehandler operator did not perform a Pre-Operation Inspection on the machine before running it. The SkyTrak Legacy Series Owner's / Operator's Manual includes within its Operation section, a Pre-Operation Checklist that includes seven items to be checked before operating the vehicle. Violation was observed on or about May 2, 2024. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
