29 CFR 1910.138(a): Appropriate hand protection was not used when employee's hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about April 25, 2024, at the Rolling machine; employees were exposed to lacerations while using cotton gloves to grab the end of copper tubing with jagged edges as it was being fed from a section of the machine while performing operations to coil/roll the copper tubing.
