29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. a- 8 Earlington Avenue, Mullica Hill NJ: The company worksite Foreman was exposed to fall hazards when performing roofing related activities on a residential structure's pitched porch roof while improperly using a damaged aluminum extension ladder's fly section and a damaged aluminum extension ladder. This worksite Foreman had not received training that would have allowed them to recognize hazards related to ladders and the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. Condition observed on or about 03/08/24. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
