29 CFR 1910.1047(e)(1): A regulated area was not established where occupational exposures to airborne concentrations of ethylene oxide may exceed the time-weighted average or wherever the Ethylene oxide concentration exceeds or can reasonably be expected to exceed the excursion limit: a) On or about January 17, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not establish a regulated area after discovering that employees were exposed to Ethylene Oxide above the 15-minute excursion limit, while operating the Ethylene Oxide Gas 3 Sterilizer Machines.
