29 CFR 1910.151(b): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which was used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons were not adequately trained to render first aid: a) 500 Green Street, Canton Township, PA: On or about January 6, 2024, during production activities in the 110 mill, the employer did not ensure that persons were adequately trained to render first aid. An employee suffered a serious injury due to a workplace accident, resulting in a bi-lateral double lower leg amputation. No trained person was available or assigned to render first aid and emergency medical response to the site was approximately 10 minutes.
