29 CFR 1910.184(i)(9)(iii):Synthetic web slings with snags, punctures, tears or cuts were not immediately removed from service. a) Strobic Building - The employer allowed employees to use rigging equipment, synthetic nylon slings, which are damaged and were not immediately removed from service, thus exposing employees to struck-by and caught-in-between hazards. This condition was observed on or about January 4, 2024. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
