Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1030(f)(3): Following a report of an exposure incident, the employer did not make immediately available to the exposed employee a confidential medical evaluation or follow-up including at least the elements (i) to (vi): a) Hiossen Inc. - 401 Plymouth Rd., Plymouth Meeting, PA - On or about November 18, 2023, a Dental Implant Sales Rep, cleaning up after a faculty dentist performed an oral surgical procedure, was stuck with a used needle that was contaminated with human blood. The employer did not make immediately available to the exposed employee a confidential medical evaluation or follow-up including at least the elements (i) to (vi) of this paragraph. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photograph or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
