29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): (a) Throughout the Plant: On or about 11/16/2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to chemical hazards in that the employer did not evaluate the workplace to determine the personal protective equipment needed while employees applied and handled TACC T202 Subfloor Adhesive on the subflooring of the mobile home. (b) At the Roofing Department: On or about 11/16/2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that fall protection was not provided when employees were working at approximately 10 feet or more above the ground while transitioning from a platform to a mobile home to conduct such as but not limited to roofing operations. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
