29 CFR 1910.1026(j)(2)(i): Housekeeping - Cleaning methods. The employer shall ensure that surfaces contaminated with chromium (VI) are cleaned by HEPA-filter vacuuming or other methods that minimize the likelihood of exposure to chromium (VI). a.) On or about November 7, 2023, the employer did not ensure that HEPA-filtered vacuums or wet methods were used for cleaning in the welding regulated area (V363 Hot End and V363 Tailpipe) in that employees dry sweep using a broom to clean their work floor at the end of each shift.
