29 CFR 1926.651(i)(2):Excavation below the level of the base or footing of any foundation or retaining wall that could be reasonably expected to pose a hazard to the employees was not prohibited: On or about 10/27/2023, back of the house located at 99 Tennis Place, Flushing NY, 11375. Employees were exposed to cave-in hazards, while engaged in excavation operations at the worksite. Employees were working inside a trench measuring approximately 9ft deep, 14ft wide and 32ft long below the level of base and/or footing of the foundation and/or retaining wall without supporting systems.
