29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. a. On or about October 24, 2023, employees were exposed to corrosive materials i.e. Polyester/Triglycidyl Isocyanurate H.G while manually spray painting the parts on the line passing through the spray booth. There was no suitable eyewash station or safety shower in the vicinity of the spray booth to quickly drench the eyes or skin of the employees in the event of exposure to corrosive materials. b. On or about October 24, 2023, employees were exposed to corrosive materials i.e. G PHOS 80, while titrating the concentrated solution with water for the wash tunnel, the initial stage of the line. It is a manual process involving a barrel of G PHOS 80. The process takes 15 minutes. The diluted solution is used to wash the parts. This item has been corrected.
