29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: Four Seasons Construction LLC does not ensure that where portable ladders were used to access an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface that was being accessed. This violation was most recently observed, on or about 8/16/23 at 33 Jacklin Court Clifton NJ, at instance a) Roof: Employees engaged in roofing work used an extension ladder to access the roof above the main entrance door, the ladder did not extend three feet above the roof's landing. The employer did not ensure that the side rails of extension ladders used by employee extended three feet above the roof's upper landing, thus exposing employee to a fall hazard of 20 feet.
