29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: (a) Bailer area and rear loading docks - On or about July 13, 2023, employees were exposed to the chemical hazards of DeVere Security Floor Treatment (Serious Eye Irritant) during sweeping and disposal without the use of appropriate eye protection. (b) Drains and entryways of primary production rooms - On or about July 13, 2023, sanitation employees applied DeVere Security Floor Treatment (Serious Eye Irritant) without the use of appropriate eye protection. (c) Throughout the facility - On or about July 13, 2023, employees were exposed to the chemical hazards of ChemSan 2007 (Corrosive) during dispensing and use without the use of appropriate eye protection. (d) Chemical dispensing stations throughout the facility - On or about July 13, 2023, employees were exposed to the corrosive chemical hazards of ChemSan 2007, Foaming Chlorinated Cleaner, General Purpose Cleaner, and Heavy Duty Degreaser without the use of appropriate eye protection. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
