29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On or about June 13, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees operating machines were exposed to being struck-by and caught-in rotating parts due to lack of machine guarding in the following instances: a) in the assembly area, the Grizzly Industrial drill press point of operation and missing covers over the drive belts. b) in the saw area, two horizontal Klutch band saws did not have unused portions of the blades guarded.
