29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). On or about May 1, 2023, and times prior thereto, employee(s) performing work within trench(s) were not protected from cave-in hazards during the following instances: a) Trench on the East side of the jobsite was approximately 6 foot deep. b) Trench on the West side of the jobsite was approximately 8 foot deep.
