29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3):Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: A.) International Timber & Veneer, LLC, Boiler Room, on or about 4/28/23 and times prior thereto: Employees were working and walking around exposed rotating parts located approximately 3 feet above the floor. The rotating parts include but are not limited to. chain and sprocket system used to power an auger under the feed line conveyor B.)International Timber & Veneer, LLC, Boiler Room, on or about 6/28/23 and times prior thereto: the guard for chain and sprocket drive was inadequate as there was a hole in the guard. Chain and Sprocket located approximately 3 feet above the ground. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
