29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): The employer shall ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter. a) Lowe's retail store, 265 McLean Blvd., Paterson, NJ: On or about March 14, 2023, an employee used gas-powered saws to cut concrete. The work was done inside a plastic sheeting enclosure the employees built for the job. The employees were required to wear P95 filtering facepiece respirators without being properly fit tested prior to use.
