29 CFR 1910.140(c)(18): The employer did not ensure that personal fall protection systems are inspected before initial use during each workshift for mildew, wear, damage, and other deterioration, and defective components are removed from service. a) Pete Lien and Sons (3370 Drennan Industrial Loop North, Colorado Springs, CO 80910): On or about March 3, 2023, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards due to harnesses provided by the employer that were frayed, damaged, and missing manufacturer tags. The employer failed to ensure employee fall harnesses were kept in safe conditions for employee usage.
