29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked, or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: (a) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against struck-by hazards as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about February 7, 2023, at 386 Main Avenue West in Rolla, ND, in the receiving/storage room, boxes, and loose materials were stacked in a way that was unbalanced, unstable, and unsecured which would not prevent the merchandise from falling on employees. The product was stacked at heights greater than 7 feet and were leaning. Dollar General was previously cited for a willful serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1551005 citation number 1 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 21, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1288 Beaverdale Rd NE, Dalton, GA 30721. Dollar General was previously cited for a willful serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1550484 citation number 1 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2912 N McVay Dr., Mobile, AL 36606. Dollar General was previously cited for a willful serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1468409 citation number 2 item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on September 4, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 450 Nashua Road, Dracut, MA 01826.
