29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3):Training program content. Powered industrial truck operators shall receive initial training in the following topics, except in topics which the employer can demonstrate are not applicable to safe operation of the truck in the employer's workplace. a) On or about January 20, 2023, the employer had not provided initial training that covers operating instructions, differences between a truck and automobile, truck controls and instrumentation, engine or motor operation, steering and maneuvering, visibility, capacity, stability, maintenance and inspection, refueling, composition of loads to be carried, load manipulation, and pedestrian traffic to employees operating the UniCarrier and Hyster Forklifts.
