29 CFR 1915.157(a):The employer did not ensure that employees used appropriate hand protection or protective clothing when exposed to hazards such as skin absorption of harmful substances, severe cuts, lacerations, abrasions, punctures, chemical burns, thermal burns, harmful temperature extremes, and sharp objects; USS Kennedy at Newport News Shipbuilding, 5-138-0-M: On or around 1/17/23, employees were exposed to health hazards from not being provided gloves while working with 124 soft white enamel. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
