29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(ii):The written hazard communication program did not include the methods the employer would use to inform employees of the hazards of non-routine tasks, and the hazards associated with chemicals contained in unlabeled pipes in their work areas: a) On or about January 23, 2023 and at times prior, employees were exposed to corrosive chemical hazards due to the employer failing to include the methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards of non-routine tasks such as cleaning up minor spills and other non-routine repair or maintenance tasks involving caustic chemicals. The employer's written Hazardous Communication Plan did not include specific methods for the Chemical Specialist Team.
