Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(f)(3)(i):When servicing and/or maintenance is performed by a crew, craft, department or other group, they shall utilize a procedure which affords the employees a level of protection equivalent to that provided by the implementation of a personal lockout or tagout device. An employee engaged in cleaning and servicing of Kettle #1 activities at 9425 North 48th Street, Omaha, NE 68152 was exposed to amputation hazards in that an employee was working on kettle #1 without having a layer of protection provided for him as outlined in this standard.
