29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: a) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against struck-by hazards as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about November 1, 2022, at or near 4027 North Dakota 37, Garrison, ND, in the receiving/storage room, boxes and loose materials were stacked in a way that was unbalanced, unstable, and unsecure which would not prevent the merchandise from falling on employees. Product was stacked at heights greater than 7 feet and leaning. Dollar General was previously cited for a willful serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1551005 citation number 1 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 21, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1288 Beaverdale Rd NE, Dalton, GA 30721. Dollar General was previously cited for a willful serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1550484 citation number 1 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2912 N McCay Dr., Mobile, AL 36606.
