29 CFR 1910.212(a)(4): Barrels, containers, and drums. Revolving drums, barrels, and containers shall be guarded by an enclosure which is interlocked with the drive mechanism, so that the barrel, drum, or container cannot revolve unless the guard enclosure is in place. With respect to an establishment located at 1400 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54467, employees were exposed to potential struck by and entanglement hazards when guarding, as defined by the standard, was not provided: a) on or about September 27, 2022 on the Sowa Cluster Cutters in the outdoor receiving area. b) on or about September 27, 2022 on the Large Snippers in the outdoor receiving area. c) on or about September 27, 2022 on the Midsize Snippers and Unsnipped Bean Reclaimers (UBRs) in the green bean processing area. d) on or about September 27, 2022 on the Filler drums of the canning lines in the green bean processing area. e) on or about October 20, 2022 on the Filler drums of the canning lines in the root crop processing area.
