29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top step of a stepladder is used as a step: a) 704 Tiger Trail, Lot 117 Wyndham Village, Opelika, Alabama: On August 30, 2022; the employer allowed his employees to use a six foot a-frame ladder to gain access to the top of the framed walls and used the top of the ladder as a step exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 6 feet to the ground below. Jaime Martinez, dba Jaime Martinez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1349562, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on February 2, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 888 West Richland circle, Lot 32 West Richland Subdivision, Auburn, Alabama, in OSHA Inspection Number 1426752, Citation Number 3, Item Number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on March 12, 2020 with respect to a workplace located at 1955 & 1947 Boxwood Way, Opelika, Alabama.
