29 CFR 1926.652(g)(1)(iii): Employees were not protected from the hazard of cave-ins when entering or exiting the area protected by shields: a) Shields Elementary School (Lewes Middle School), 910 Shields Avenue, in Lewes, DE 19958: On or about 8/17/2022 - the employer did not provide any type of protective system for the employees accessing a trench/excavation exposing the employees to cave ins while they worked in the area. The employees were installing a pipe linking two water retention ponds where a future roadway will be put in place.
