29 CFR 1910.119(j)(1)(v): The employer failed to develop and implement a mechanical integrity program for maintaining the ongoing integrity of alarms and suppression systems. a. Aerosol Storage Cage - On or about June 3, 2022, the employer had not developed and implemented a mechanical integrity program in accordance with 1910.119(j) for maintaining the ongoing integrity of controls such as alarms, detection systems, and suppression systems. The employer's failure exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards from the stock piling of flammable aerosols in excess of 10,000 lbs. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
