29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3):Sprockets and chains. All sprocket wheels and chains shall be enclosed unless they are more than seven (7) feet above the floor or platform. Where the drive extends over other machine or working areas, protection against falling shall be provided. This subparagraph does not apply to manually operated sprockets. a.) Dimensional Metals, Inc., at the jobsite located at 58 Klema Dr. North, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068: On and or/preceding March 15, 2022, employees were exposed to an unguarded chain and seven sprockets on all four sides of the forstner slitting line decoiler, thereby exposing employees to caught-in hazards. b.) Dimensional Metals, Inc., at the jobsite located at 58 Klema Dr. North, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068: On and or/preceding March 15, 2022, the horizontal chain drive for the roll forming machine in the fabrication shop was not guarded, thereby exposing employees to caught-in hazards.
