29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): (a) Williams-Sonoma Stores, Inc. at 5503 Havana Street in Denver, Colorado: On or about February 24, 2022, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that workers were protected from the point of operation of the Recycletech Styrofoam extruder in the recycling area. This exposed employees and temporary workers to laceration and amputation hazards. (b) Williams-Sonoma Stores, Inc. at 5503 Havana Street in Denver, Colorado: On or about February 24, 2022, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that workers were protected from the point of operation of the trash compactor in the recycling area in that the compactor was run with a disabled interlock and with the door open. This exposed employees and temporary workers to crushing hazards. (c) Williams-Sonoma Stores, Inc. at 5503 Havana Street in Denver, Colorado: On or about February 24, 2022, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that workers were protected from the point of operation of the Harris horizontal baler in the recycling area. This exposed employees and temporary workers to crushing and amputation hazards.
