29 CFR 1910.217(b)(4)(i):The pedal mechanism shall be protected to prevent unintended operation from falling or moving objects or by accidental stepping onto the pedal. On or before 2/7/2022 the employer did not ensure that foot pedal controls for mechanical power presses located on the workshop floor were protected from an accidental activation exposing employees to a struck by hazard in such machines as: a) On or about 1/17/22 the employer did not ensure that foot activation pedals for the Havir Press # 2 (model #SE 3963) were properly guarded from accidental activation. b) On or about 1/31/22 the employer did not ensure that foot activation pedals for The V&O Press Co. (model # missing) were properly guarded from accidental activation.
