29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Space about electric equipment. Sufficient access and working space shall be provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment. The employer does not ensure that sufficient access and working space is provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment. a) This most recently occurred on and preceding January 31, 2022, at 8525 Dunham Road, Maple Heights, OH 44137. Employees are exposed to electrical and fire hazards from wheeled carts, large boxes, and bins obstructing access to electrical panels. Family Dollar Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1248198, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 3, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 730 Center Street, AUBURN, ME 04210.
