29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): a) South Coast Paper North East: Material Handlers that operate powered industrial trucks did not receive training on the Toyota,7FGCU45--BCS forklift, including but not limited to formal instruction, practical training, and evaluation of the operator's performance in the workplace, on or about November 9, 2021. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
