29 CFR 1910.28(b)(15): 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(15): Walking-working surfaces not otherwise addressed. Except as provided elsewhere in this section or by other subparts of this part, the employer did not ensure each employee on a walking working surface 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one of the systems listed in 1910.28(b)(15)(i)-(iii). The employer is failing to protect employees from elevated fall hazards. This condition was most recently observed on or about 10/26/2021. The employee ascended approximately seventeen- feet vertically over the horizontal length of 38.75 feet at a thirty-degree angle on the conveyor belt which has product guards on either side that measure approximately thirty-six inches in height. The employer did not ensure each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is four feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by a guardrail system, safety net system, travel restraint system, or personal fall arrest system Amended to: Citation 1, Item 4 is withdrawn.
