29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems: (a) Groundworks Colorado, LLC DBA Foundation Repair of Western Colorado at 638 Meadow Rd in Snowmass Village, CO 81615: On or about October 1, 2021, and at times prior, employees were working in trenches up to 10 feet 6 inches deep, but a competent person had not inspected the trenches prior to the start of work. This exposed employees to hazards of excavations including cave-in and hazardous atmosphere.
