29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee wears a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects. The employer is failing to protect employees from overhead struck-by hazards related to tree trimming operations. This was most recently documented on July 27, 2021 at the jobsite located at 1614 S 96th St., Omaha Nebraska, where the employer has employees working on the ground in the drop zone without protective helmets as tree branches were being cut overhead.
