Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.36(c)(1): Each exit discharge did not lead directly outside or to a street, walkway, refuge area, public way, or open space with access to the outside. (a) On or about August 4, 2021, at the worksite located at 714 East Keefe Ave., Milwaukee, WI, the employer did not ensure all exit route doors were able to opened directly outside or to a street, walkway, refuge area, public way, or open space with access to the outside. In the event workers exited the building through a route that led to the employee parking lot, they could be contained in a confined area, thus, limiting the potential for adequate distance from the building in the event of a fire or other disaster.
